Spicy Ginger Nuts

I love coated nuts. Unfortunately, most of the store bought ones contain wheat in them. Bummer! But….. ta da! We can make our own without too much fuss. Try this sweet and spicy blend and see if you don’t get hooked too.

Spicy Ginger Nuts

Ingredients:

¾ tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp. ground ginger
¼ tsp. ground allspice
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
Pinch of kosher salt
2 Tbsp. coconut oil
1 ½ cups walnut halves
1 ½ cups pecan halves

Or use 3 cups of your favorite nuts in place of the walnuts and pecans

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper, set aside.

In a medium bowl, stir together all the spices, the brown sugar and the salt. Mix in the coconut oil and then stir in the nuts. Coat well and then pour onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring once half way through. Remove from the oven and stir again. Allow to cool and place in an airtight container.

I love the pans made by. They are made with a nice heavy metal, great non-stick finish and manufactured right here in the USA.

When you spend a lot of time in the kitchen, it’s nice to work; with “tools” that are functional but also beautiful and fun. This set of mixing bowls are just lovely and add a colorful touch to your kitchen.
