Brownie Christmas Trees
You can use the recipe here or buy a box of gluten free brownie mix.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 ½ cups gluten free flour blend (xanthan gum added)
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. salt
¾ cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 tsp. gluten free vanilla extract
Ready made canned Vanilla Frosting
Green food coloring
Blue gluten free Pearls
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 13×9 pan with aluminum foil and make sure the edges hang off the ends so you can lift the brownies out after they are done.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, gluten free flour, cocoa powder and salt. Beat in the oil. Then beat in the eggs one at a time. Beat in the vanilla.
Pour into the baking pan.
Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center, comes out with just a few crumbs on it.
Let the brownies cool completely.
Now for the fun part!
Lift out of the pan using the foil edges. Set on a cutting board and cut into tree triangle shapes.
Tint the vanilla frosting with green food coloring to the shade you want. Place in a pastry bag with a small round hole tip on the end.
Make green “garlands” on the tree brownies. At each garland tip, place a blue sugar pearl.
