White Chocolate Dipped Cream Filled Cookies

It’s a good thing we have a gluten free version of the Oreo cookie. Many companies make them and they are handy for so many things.

Here’s a recipe to coat them in chocolate and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies. I’m ready…. how about you?

White Chocolate Dipped Cream Filled Cookies

Ingredients:

1 pkg. gluten free chocolate cream filled cookies
1 bag of white chocolate melting wafers ( we used Ghiradelli brand)
Small amount of shortening
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Directions:

Melt the white chocolate according to the package directions. Add 1/2 tsp. of shortening to the chocolate if it is too thick to coat the cookies smoothly ( think a peppermint patty here).

Dip the cookies one at a time. Allow the excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Place them on parchment lined baking sheet and immediately sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.

Allow the chocolate to set up. You may speed this along be placing in the refrigerator, but it’s not necessary.

Makes 1 pkg of chocolate covered cookies unless you eat some while dipping
