Homemade Onion Soup Mix

I was out of onion soup in the pantry one day, so I Googled how to make my own, and what do you know, I had everything in my home pantry! No more commercial brand dip mix for me with all those crazy additives. Plus, these are Certified Gluten Free and also Non-GMO which is a BIG plus in my book!

If I’m going to be feeding my family, I want as much to be Non-GMO as I possibly can. This can be very hard to do with the products I find at the local super market. And it’s nearly impossible to find bouillon that is gluten free and Non-GMO. Score!

Homemade Onion Soup/ Dip Mix

Ingredients:

2 tbsp. THRIVE Chopped Onions- Dehydrated

4 tsp. THRIVE Beef Bouillon

1 tsp. THRIVE Chopped Onions – Freeze Dried powdered, or use regular onion powder

1/8 tsp. THRIVE Peppercorn or ground black pepper

Directions: 

1. Combine all ingredients for the equivalent of one packet of onion soup mix
2. To make onion dip, mix all ingredients with 2 cups of sour cream. Stir well and refrigerate several hours. Serve with chips or crackers.

I use this for all my meals that call for Onion Soup Mix. The THRIVE bouillon is really good and will last in your pantry at least 6 months opened.
